Windows 10 Upgrade Strategy Prepared by Microsoft

Mayfield recently said in an interview the concurrent Windows 10 upgrade for Windows 7 and 8.1 PCs was made possible by continued upgrades bundled into other devices. However, don’t let that hold you back from upgrading and utilizing the new security, recovery, performance and other features.

Calling the release “about average, with maybe a bit more severity” than is typical, Kandek noted that Microsoft didn’t provide additional information on MS15-135, which was released for the zero day found in the Windows kernel, but its severity gave it a top berth on the priority list of Qualys. However, it has previously stated that even when it does start pushing Windows 10 as an automatic, default update, users will have an opportunity to cancel the upgrade before it completes.

Those with Adobe software can make use of the Adobe updater program that was probably installed along with whichever of the company’s products you use, although Google Chrome and Microsoft Edge and Internet Explorer 10 and 11 will update Flash by themselves.

The only thing which is making users suspicious is no official announcement or explanation from the Microsoft regarding the data collection, a public statement could do good for them otherwise it could really harm their goodwill.

However, despite Microsoft’s efforts to push Win10 on to its users, most people prefer their older version PCs and devices. A staggering 30 flaws are in Internet Explorer and 15 are in Microsoft Edge.

Microsoft had to re-issue a patch from November to address problems reported by some users running Outlook 2010 and 2013. On the PC, though, the reboot and update process takes seconds to a minute or so, depending on a few factors-the size of the update, whether or not you’re running an SSD, and so on. There are a couple options, but my favorite is Classic Shell (www.classicshell.net). New products by Microsoft only explain a small part of this increase, for example the new Edge browser only added five bulletins of its own this year.

The classic Windows games, such as Solitaire and Minesweeper, which Microsoft has included for over 25 years were redesigned starting with Windows 8. The Windows 10 upgrade app is also reaching out several times per hour to see if the system is compatible with Windows 10 and then notifying the user. However, you may not enjoy the changes, especially the newly added advertisements and nag screens prompting you to purchase the premium editions. This warning comes after the last warning the team put out in August of 2014, so you’ve had ample time to get ready. He attributes this theory to the recent updates on the Windows Update tool for Windows 7 and Windows 8.1.
