1 arrested for drug-laced candy that made 24 ill

The rap festival, called “The Last Weekend on Earth”, became one big, bad trip after someone started passing around colorful packs of so-called “medibles” around 11 a.m., police said.

The packages Gross is accused of giving out contained about 20 sweets each and started circulating at the festival between 10 a.m. and 11 a.m. on Saturday, Richland County Sheriff’s Maj. “They just felt different”.

Staff from the music festival and the property where the music festival is taking place are cooperating with the investigation.

Sheriff Steve Sheldon tells 10TV the investigation is ongoing, but they believe the people overdosed after eating laced candy.
