1 dead, 2 injured after survey helicopter crash in Alta

The chopper were down just before 4:30 PM Monday afternoon about 25 kilometers southwest Fox Creek.

One person is dead and two others have been injured in a helicopter crash near Fox Creek, Alta.

Police said three people were onboard the helicopter when it crashed.

The female pilot was airlifted to hospital, and another male passenger was treated and later released from hospital.

STARS said the woman was in her 40s, and was taken to the QEII Hospital in Grande Prairie in serious but stable condition.

The Transportation Safety Board says it is sending a team of investigators to the crash site.
