The gunman opened fire inside Mountain View Hall, a residence hall that houses numerous school’s sorority and fraternity members. Questions had been raised initially as if the violence erupted after a confrontation with the fraternity chapter itself, an assertion Sherman denied.
His Facebook page said he was native to Annapolis, Maryland. He is believed to be a freshman at the Flagstaff school.

The incident was the second shooting on campus in just 12 hours. “We’re all leaning on each other”. His identity is being withheld pending notification of his family.

The second shooting in Texas happened later on Friday morning at the University Courtyard Apartments on the edge of the Houston campus.

According to Brough’s LinkedIn page, he started working toward a business degree this year.
