1 dead, 4 injured after bus crashes in North Attleboro
Attleboro authorities responded to a call around 2:06 p.m. on Monday to reports that an older model Mercedes crashed into a Greater Attleboro Taunton Regional Transit Authority bus that stopped to let passengers off in the southbound lane of Route 1 in North Attleboro near the Pineapple Inn.

According to Dumas, Robbins worked a half day at her City Hall office the day of the fatal crash.
Police say the former mayor of Attleboro, Massachusetts, died in a crash with a GATRA on Monday.
North Attleborough Fire Chief Ted Joubert said responders performed CPR on Robbins at the scene, and she was brought to Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro, where she was pronounced dead.
Robbins started her career in public service in 1968 on Attleboro’s planning board. “She will surely be missed in all of our city affairs that she was so intricately involved in”.
“The woman was a natural born leader”, said Councilman Richard Conti. “I have never seen anyone like her. She’s my idol and mentor”.
Judith Robbins served as mayor from 1992 to 2003. Once millions of dollars in the red, she guided it to solvency. “And if she was committed – she was all in”, Dumas said. She leaves behind a husband, two children and grandchildren.
Five bus passengers were also transported to a hospital with non-life-threatening neck, back and head injuries.
