“There’s a lot of people effected by it”, Minneapolis Police Spokesman John Elder said.

One man is dead following a shooting late Friday evening.

Among that group, the officers found the wounded man, who had been shot in a foot, the statement said. Information on the suspect is not available at this time.

Mishow knew the man that lived inside with his wife and two children. One individual is considered a suspect, another was taken into protective custody, according to Elder.

“He was an all-around good guy”, Mishow told the TV station.

The Star Tribune’s Libor Jany said that the double killing in south Minneapolis now brings the city’s homicide count this year to 33, which will rise to 34 if the north Minneapolis shooting is confirmed a homicide. Residents will see more officers in the area and the department encourages them to “work with officers on this public safety issue”, the release stated. Police say the Hennepin County Medical Examiner will release that information and the official cause of death.
