The body of an 80-year-old man who was reported missing Sunday night has been located, the Coast Guard and Virginia Marine Resources Commission said. “He was killed early this morning in a wasteful and tragic event while a passenger in a boat that was hit near Catalina”.

Police say the call came in around 1:00 a.m. Saturday. All three were taken by helicopter to the UCLA Medical Center. Also injured in the crash were three others – including Michael Harris’s girlfriend, Kelly Wells, his father said.
A Coast Guard MH-65 Dolphin helicopter crew launched from Air Station Atlantic City, and a 25-foot Response Boat-Small (RBS) crew launched from Coast Guard Station Milford Haven.
The 49ers confirmed Michael Harris, son of former CEO Peter Harris, died Sunday. Coast Guard and county officials provided no other details about the collision or the identity of the dead person.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Special Enforcement Bureau deployed divers and an underwater sonar scanner and was assisting county lifeguards in an effort to find the missing boater.
