10.5-inch iPad Pro Arriving In 2017, OLED iPad In 2018 [Rumor]
According to the latest reports, the new iPad Pro 2 will apparently be coming with Apple’s latest A10X processor, which is rumored to be the same processor Apple will be using for its upcoming new iPhone, the Apple iPhone 7.

Kuo predicted that in addition to a new iPad Pro model, Apple will also launch a new low-priced 9.7-inch iPad. “If the iPad comes in a larger size, such as a 10.5” model, we believe it will be helpful to bid for tenders within the commercial and education markets. Kuo has outlined an expected roadmap for three Apple iPad products in 2017 and has also mentioned some big changes for the product in 2018 surrounding the implementation of flexible AMOLED display components.
Apple’s 10.5-inch device, then, might be the ideal addition to its iPad Pro line, and it’s something I’d love to see.
In a note to investors reported by AppleInsider, Kuo implied that for 2017 Apple’s approach to the iPad line will be fairly low key, similar to his predictions for the iPhone series this year; he says that three models will arrive in 2017 but they will be quite similar in design to the current catalogue. There are also talks that Apple could be working on a low-priced 9.7-inch “regular” iPad.
In summary, major changes for next-generation iPads are in the works but are not ready for 2016. iPad fans will have to wait a bit longer to see the brand new 10.5 inch iPad, 12.9 inch iPad Pro and cheaper 9.7 inch variants.

This leaves space for improvements to the 9.7 inch iPad Air and iPad mini range but there has been no reports of anything new for those product lines so far. It could be that the analyst does not have any solid predictions for the smaller iPad, but there’s also the possibility that the mini will be phased out as demand in that size range shifts to the larger iPhone models. We’ll be waiting for more rumors on that score though, before we start looking out for an iPad with the curved display of a Samsung Galaxy Edge.
