10 pound Texas baby born en route to birthing center

Pettijohn and her husband, Jonathan Pettijohn, were racing down a Houston-area highway last Monday when Lesia went into labor. The father, who’s driving, films it all on a GoPro camera on his lap. The couple doesn’t own a cell phone, so the couple thought the best decision was to continue trying to get to the birth center as quickly as possible.

The woman soon realises that the baby’s head is coming out, so she pulls her pants down enough to deliver the baby herself. I was scared. I didn’t know if he’d be breathing OK or if he would need anything else, ‘ Lesia told.

The video on YouTube has had more than 2.6 million views and counting.

“Its coming out, Oh my God, its a boy”, the woman is seen screaming in the four-minute video. He came out right in the auto! By the time he helps her undo her seatbelt and pull down her leggings, the newest member of their family has arrived.

“I was just thinking, ‘Well I have to push him out, he can’t stay halfway, ‘” she said. “That’s the first time we’ve ever had something like that happen, it’s not common”, said Griggs.

The stunned out-of-shot man gives the woman a high five, saying “We did it”.

So, I wonder if we still have to pay for using birth center.

According to reports, this is the couple’s third child.
