At a competition for older athletes in the coastal city of Vancouver in British Columbia, Kaur took nearly a minute-and-a-half to finish the run but is said to have never broken her stride.

Kaur is one of the oldest participants in the Masters Games, and she always encourages other older women to start running, and talks to them about the importance of staying healthy even at her age.
Kaur, who has previously won gold medals in shot put and javelin, was all smiles after finishing her race.
He further said that his mother’s energy and drive to compete have become an inspiration to participants in the unique global event for athletes over 30.
And when she crossed the finish line Monday at the Americas Masters Games in Vancouver, her competitors – many of them two decades younger – were there to cheer her on.
“Winning makes her happy”, he added.
At that old age, Kaur just needed one-and-a-half minutes to finish the 100-meter sprint. Kaur has now won more than 20 medals in Masters Games across the globe. Asked how she felt, she breathed heavily and clutched a bottle of water, unable to speak.
Kaur only started running when she was 93 after her son said she had no reason not to.”You have no problem, no knee problem, no heart problem, you should start running”, he told her.
Randy Clegg, a spokesperson for the Americas Masters Games, calls Kaur an inspiration.
She prepared for the competition by doing five or 10 short distance runs every evening, Singh said. Man Kaur participated in the 100 meters race.
It is her healthy life, which promoted Gurdev to ask his mother to take up running.

“I know that it’s inspired me”, said the five-time Olympian. Thousands of athletes from around the world are in Vancouver for the Americas Masters Games, helping to prove that you’re never too old to do sports.
