The updated MacBook comes with sixth-generation dual-core Intel Core M processors up to 1.3 GHz, with Turbo Boost speeds up to 3.1 GHz, and faster 1866 MHz memory.
In terms of battery performance, Apple claims the new battery will now last up to 10 hours while browsing the web, and 11 hours of continuous movie playback, an overall increase of an hour.
The second one is a little more advance and comes with 1.2 GHz dual-core Intel Core m5 processor, 8GB memory and 512 GB flash storage.
The Intel HD 515 graphics is 25 percent efficient than the GPU of the older model.
The 2016 version of the MacBook is now running our performance and battery life tests, and this page will be updated later with the results and further hands-on impressions.
Apple has upgraded its MacBook series with the latest Intel Skylake processors.
If you want to buy the latest updated version of the MacBook, get it from Apple’s online stores and physical stores, starting today.
The very attractive rose gold color option was also added this time around. This year’s update to the Macbook builds on that foundation, pushing out an ostensible 10+ hours of battery (we get about eight from last year’s model).
The major differentiating factor between the 2016 model of the 12-inch MacBook and the predecessor 2015 12-inch MacBook lies in the processor.
Based on previous leaks, it is possible that both the 2016 MacBook Air and the 2016 MacBook Pro could come out with slimmer bezels and thinner chassis. Apple’s decision to improve the MacBook is partly due to its desire to keep up with competitors, like Dell and HP, which have recently launched new lightweight notebooks.
Previously, the new MacBook Air was touted to see the light of day during Apple’s low-key event back in March, but no MacBook Air was presented during the occasion. It still has a Retina display on a 12-inch screen, a Force Touch trackpad, a full keyboard and a single USB Type-C port for fast syncing and charging.
The base model of the new MacBook uses a 1.1 GHz 6 generation Intel Core M processor-with Turbo Boost up to 3.1 GHz.
If you’re kicking yourself because you just bought a first-generation MacBook don’t fear, Apple is offering a 30-day price guarantee that allows you to exchange your new laptop for this even newer laptop at no additional cost.
