Stay tune in here for more updates and rumors about the upcoming Microsoft Surface Phone 2016 or 2017.
It is safe to say that the Windows Phone/Windows 10 Mobile platform isn’t quite as widespread as Microsoft would like it to be.
In late October, Microsoft will reportedly be taking the wraps off a Surface Device that can turn your desk into a full-fledged “studio”.
The answer to the question “what’s next?” is pretty hazy at the moment. Official details are not yet available right now, but recent reports have indicated that the company was planning to debut the phone in 2017, either sooner or later in the year. The Surface Phone is expected to sport some pretty top-class specs and features.
Microsoft is hard at work on a new Surface branded device, which the U.S. technology firm is expected to unveil at a hardware event next month.
Recently, Laura Butler, Microsoft’s Director of Engineering (Windows Fundamentals), teased the Surface Phone 2016 in one of her tweets.
Meanwhile, Windows Central reported that Microsoft was developing a new Surface all-in-one (AIO) PC running Windows 10, citing a reliable source who had confirmed the news with Windows Central and it followed an earlier report by Digitimes. The company doesn’t have any new Surface Pros and Surface Books planned for this year, so the Surface desktop is likely to tide fans over until then.
According to the report, what’s recognizable in the new Microsoft Surface Phone will feature are the USB-C port and the audio jack.

A report in Trusted Reviews suggests that the new Surface Phone will be the most secure phone and it focuses on productivity. Also, there are strong rumors that the incorporation of the seventh generation Intel Kaby Lake processor would make it reasonable to incorporate a power hungry 4k resolution display screen.
