#15 TCU Horned Frogs host the Arkansas Razorbacks from the SEC
The Horned Frogs came alive in the second half in this one, but just could not overcome its sluggish start to pull out the victory.

No. 15 TCU hosts Arkansas at Amon G. Carter Stadium in Fort Worth at 7 p.m. ET Saturday, and the residue of the shaky defensive showing in which the Horned Frogs allowed 461 yards to South Dakota State in their opener has Patterson deeply concerned.
If you’ve watched ESPN, SEC Network, or any video highlight platform, you know how this one ended.
Arkansas will play in Columbia, Mo., Friday, Nov. 25 when they take on the Mizzou Tigers.
Aaron Jones ran for 123 yards and a 51-yard touchdown for UTEP (1-1).
Austin Allen’s quarterback sneak helped Arkansas upset #15 TCU 41-38 in double overtime. It appeared as if TCU would do better than that when Hill immediately threw a touchdown pass, but the score was called back on an illegal touching penalty after the receiver went out of bounds before coming back in. “That builds a lot of confidence”.
Allen and the Razorbacks responded from what could have been a deflating fourth quarter with game-tying drive with just 1:03 left in regulation before beating their former Southwest Conference rivals in the second extra session. The Hogs can rest easy, knowing they won a game where half of it, they had to play lock down defense … and the other half of it, they needed to be mid-2000s Boise State.
Arkansas also has a tailback in Rawleigh Williams III who rushed for 137 yards, big linemen on both sides of the ball and a chance to be that team that can challenge the Crimson Tide down the road. “We just couldn’t stop it”, the coach said. They’d practiced the end-around reverse pass to quarterback Austin Allen “two or three times” this week and installed it last week.
He was on the sideline on crutches during the second half with the foot in a protective boot. “I thought the efforts of our guys, the intelligence of our coaches, the perseverance of our players, the “every snap matters” was on display”. I’m more interested now that the line has dropped to -7. The Horned Frogs offense also turned it over twice in the game as well. Hill said he was a little to amped up and was a little rusty not having played a game in a while.
“We didn’t tackle very well”.
“I think we’re a good football team”, Bielema said, according to SEC Country’s Trent Shadid”.
“Overall this was a good first game for us to take into next week”, Fourcade said. – Danny Etling took over from struggling starter Brandon Harris on the third possession for LSU (1-1) and opened with three straight scoring drives.

“It was the first game so everyone was probably too hyped up and worrying about the wrong things”, said Curry, “but as the game kept going everyone calmed down”. Hill did account for 377 passing yards and another 93 rushing yards with three total touchdowns, but his accuracy was a concern, as well as his decision-making. Senior tight end Sprinkle, whose fourth-down touchdown catch from Allen edged Louisiana Tech 21-20 in the September 3 Fayetteville opener, caught three passes for 58 yards against TCU including a 19-yard touchdown from Allen in the first overtime. Arkansas scored one minute (and four plays) later on a 16-yard pass to Keon Hatcher. But Hill threw consecutive incompletions. “So it’s a big deal for me”. Allen went to work and promptly completed four consecutive passes to find pay dirt.
