The newest data, released by Central Command, reveals that US refueling operations in Yemen are up some 60% over the past six months, a span of time which included a long ceasefire and failed peace talks.

Tuesday’s raids included a strike on a food factory in Yemen’s rebel-held capital Sanaa, medics said.

Huthi spokesman Mohammed Abdulsalam accused the coalition on Facebook of “committing heinous crimes” by targeting a food factory inside Sanaa on Tuesday, causing casualties.

The Iranian diplomat called on the United Nations and countries supplying the invading Saudi army with weapons and military equipment to start taking more effective efforts for an immediate stop to the attacks. The nearest rebel post is almost 1.5 kilometers (mile) away.

Nine of the victims were women and seven of the injured were left in critical condition, an official at the Sana’a factory said.

Twenty-two Houthi militants were killed in clashes that erupted late Wednesday between pro-government forces on one hand and the Houthis and their allies on the other in Sanaa’s Nahm district, according to Abdullah al-Shandaqi, a spokesman for “popular resistance” forces loyal to Yemeni President Abd Rabbuh Mansour Hadi.

Officials said that the USA military on Thursday killed three Al-Qaeda operatives in a strike in Shabwa.

Residents said the factory was inside an army maintenance camp that had been hit by repeated air strikes since fighting began in March a year ago. They spoke on condition of anonymity because they were not authorized to speak to the media.

Other news accounts Tuesday reported a death toll of 14.

“Children are paying the heaviest price of the conflict in Yemen”, the agency said in a statement. “The actual numbers are likely to be much higher”, the agency said.
