One Direction fans were anxious sick when the guys canceled their performance due to Liam Payne suddenly falling ill, and now reports are saying that it’s because he’s feeling burnt out and stressed.

According to the newspaper, a source said: “The pressures of fame and being on the road for two years have made Liam ill. He had a complete meltdown”.

Tuesday night’s concert has now been rescheduled to tomorrow night, though many fans and parents were left angered at the last minute cancellation of the gig.

The chart-topping band – Niall Horan, Payne, Harry Styles and Louis Tomlinson – have apologised to their fans.

Earlier on Wednesday, Payne took to Twitter to apologize to fans and wrote, “I’m so sorry to everybody I disappointed last night”.

However, with the boys not actually explaining what it was that made Liam so ill so quickly before such a speedy recovery, it has left plenty of room for “sources” and “insiders” to give their own version of events – and they’re all suitably dramatic.

“Just because u don’t feel like taking a picture because there’s paparazzi chasing you and you want to get your family and friends home safe”.

“One time id like to be able to see New York without being followed chased and cornered like an animal until other people get what they want”.

Liam then immediately addressed the crowd and assured them he was feeling much better.

This is the first time One Direction cancelled a show because of an illness of one member.

“The band apologise to the fans and wish Liam better”.

“We are very grateful to them for their understanding and accommodation of the almost 10,000 young concert fans who were so devastated by the cancellation”. So obviously, we’re all very disappointed and very, very much apologise to everyone who was there.
