$2.04 and up: MI gas prices rise again
GasBuddy shows the biggest rise is in ME, where the average retail price is $2.22 a gallon, up 3.7 cents from last week.

Knoxville- $1.98, up 3.4 cents per gallon from last week’s $1.94. During last year’s holiday, a gallon of regular unleaded averaged $2.29 in Florida and Georgia, and $2.14 in Tennessee. Which is still about 21 cents less than this same time a year ago.
Even though gas prices have been steadily on the rise of late, with motorists paying the highest prices at the pump in more than 50 days, that’s unlikely to slow travel during Labor Day weekend. AAA says once the summer driving season ends, prices could fall below 2 dollars a gallon again, as refineries start to produce winter gas blends, which are cheaper to make. MI ranks eighth among US states – tops east of the Rocky Mountains aside from Washington, D.C. – for the most expensive gasoline.

Including the change in gas prices in Chattanooga during the past week, prices on Sunday were unchanged compared to the same day one year ago and are 26.1 cents per gallon higher than a month ago. Prices in 2015 decreased heading into Labor Day, when the average pump price was about $2.42 per gallon.
