New Jersey police say a suspect has been fatally shot in an exchange of gunfire outside an Atlantic City casino and one police officer has been wounded. They were interviewed and released.
The two men in police custody have been identified as Martell Chisholm, 19, or Millville, New Jersey and 28-year-old Demetrius Cross of Bridgeton, New Jersey. They’re each charged with attempted murder, robbery and weapons offenses. “It was truly awesome to see everybody coming and working together”.
At 2:34 a.m. Saturday, two uniformed Atlantic City police officers on patrol observed a robbery that involved six men near the Caesars Atlantic City parking garage.
Acting Atlantic County Prosecutor Diane Ruberton said the officer was out of surgery but still in critical condition during a press conference at Boardwalk Hall. It has been overwhelming.
All five persons of interest sought by law enforcement have been located and identified.
