The show started seven minutes later at the Lancaster Fairgrounds, about 90 miles north of Concord. The storm blew through about 15 minutes after that, with about 100 people inside the tent. The injured included Marion’s mom, who suffered a head injury when a pole slammed into her, her family said.

The tent was owned by the circus company Waker Bros. “At this point, I’m just waiting to hear from them”. We want to express our gratitude to all of the first responders who came to the aid of their fellow citizens and the bystanders who – in true Granite State fashion – also helped save lives.

A “place of assembly” permit is required in order to hold this type of event, Degnan said. He declined to identify them until their next of kin could be notified. An autopsy said they suffered blunt force trauma. At least 34 of those victims were discharged, the hospital officials said.

The father and daughter killed in the incident have not yet been named.

State officials are asking anyone with pictures or video from the tragedy to contact the fire marshal.

The Walker Brothers canceled two shows scheduled in Vermont Tuesday night.

Around 5,000 people attended the festival when a storm swept through the area.

Material from the Associated Press was used in this report. Officials are now working to find out more about what went wrong at the fairgrounds in Lancaster, N.H.

According to “Fox and Friends” live on Monday morning the governor of New Hampshire is sending a disaster response team to the site of the circus tent to investigate.

Degnan said Tuesday it is the responsibility of the show to monitor weather conditions. “So I took my son … and threw him underneath the bleacher and threw myself on top of him”, Medeiros said.
