A home on Lakeview Road caught fire around 3:30 a.m. Officials say the firefighters may have been on the first floor of the row home battling the blaze when the floor on the first floor collapsed into the basement level. Two firefighters were rescued but one never made it out of the house and another later died after being taken to the hospital, according to the news station. The fire resulted in the closure of the eastbound lanes of Kirkwood Highway at the Wilmington/Elsmere border-there’s no word yet on the fire’s cause.
