2 kids found in storage locker killed elsewhere
Two older children (12-year-old male and female twins) who were at the East Quincy residence where Huntsman and Curiel were staying with a friend, were immediately placed in foster care in the Yuba City area.

KSBW has asked Salinas PD if this means that the children were in fact murdered in Salinas.
In working with Salinas police, Redding police learned that the suspects had physical custody of two children who were reported missing, but it’s not yet clear if they are the same people found inside the storage unit, police said.
Curiel told authorities about their storage locker in Redding, where the bodies of the 3-year-old and 6-year-old were found inside of that storage unit.
A spokesperson for the Monterey County Department of Social Services confirms it had four calls to check on the children at Tami Huntsman’s Salinas home as recently as in August, but the children were never removed.
Huntsman, 39, was charged with felony child abuse, torture and mayhem.
A commercial storage unit facility is shown Tuesday, Dec. 15, 2015, where two children were found dead in Redding, Calif. Autopsies were planned for the 3-year-old girl and 6-year-old boy, whose names were not released. As of Tuesday night, officials had not identified the dead children, although Huntsman’s ex-husband suggested that they were, in fact, Delylah and Shaun Tara, the missing children.
Hagwood said the girl weighed about 40 pounds and had multiple broken bones and a dislocated jaw. “Our goal is to prevent this kind of tragedy”.
They remain in custody on $1 million bail each, Norrie said.
Huntsman’s cousin is the three victims’ biological father.
Huntsman’s brother also is facing prison time, though for an unrelated crime. “That happens frankly more often than any of us would like”, Robinson said. She became her legal guardian after the girl’s mother died two years ago, the source reported.
The 9-year-old girl was found Friday in a parked vehicle in Plumas County and is now in the hospital.
Redding police launched a homicide investigation, saying that Tami Joy Huntsman, 39, and Gonzalo Curiel, 17, are considered the suspects.
Sanchez said she attended El Puente School in Salinas with Curiel.
Aponte said she can’t understand how nothing was done.
Diana Sanchez, 18, lives in the complex in the 500 block of Fremont Street in Salinas where police were searching for clues about Huntsman and Curiel on Tuesday.
“They were really nice”, she said.
Evidence seals covered the doors and windows of an apartment in Quincy where neighbors say Huntsman and Curiel moved in last week and were arrested on Friday. “She was always taking care of her kids”. They appeared to have died from abuse, Robinson said. “We’re looking at the case to see if there’s anything we should have done differently that could have prevented this tragedy”, Robinson told the San Francisco Chronicle.
Police then intensively questioned Huntsman and Curiel.
“General neglect calls rarely will result in the removal of the child”, he said.

Paoletti spoke for the first time about when the department’s investigation began.- the moment his officers were led to Enterprise Stor-Al Sunday to uncover the two children dead inside.
