The initial investigation was performed by the Deschutes County Sheriff’s Office and explosives experts from the Oregon State Police.

Greenberg said they and their tanks took part in a commercial for the video game “World of Tanks” that was shot last week.

Tuesday was a tragic day due to the accident that left 2 dead after a World War 2 tank exploded. “Two families lost loved ones, and our hearts and prayers go out to those that loved ones today”.

Dennis Ripp, who is president of the Military Vehicle Collectors Club of Oregon, says he has known Preston for at least 15 years.

He later mentioned that a camera crew was at the scene, filming the tank at the time of the explosion, which he believes could prove useful during the investigation, USA Today reported.

It is unclear why the tank was at the range.
