2 off-duty officers say Texas Whataburger refused service
A Whataburger location in Lewisville, Texas is under fire after a cashier allegedly told two police officers that the restaurant had a policy of not serving cops.

Before their shift began, the pair decided to grab a bite to eat at a Whataburger in Lewisville.
Officer Cameron Beckham and reserve Deputy Michael Magovern were getting ready to work traffic security in a construction site Tuesday night when they stopped at the fast-food restaurant Whataburger for something to eat, KTVT-TV reported. The men were in uniform when they entered the restaurant.
The officers thought the employee was joking.
“We were appalled to hear of an employee refusing service to two officers, as we have proudly served first responders across our system for decades”. You go out of your way to say, ‘listen guys, seriously, I was joking. The employee that refused service is no longer employed with Whataburger. “We want to address this as soon as possible with any parties involved so we can reach out and make this right”, a spokesman for the company said.
The officers said they believe this is an isolated incident and doesn’t reflect the overall mantra of the fast food chain.
Magovern says that he knows Whataburger, as a company, to be very supportive of law enforcement.

They have agreed to meet with Whataburger corporate officials later today. “This was a single location, employee with a problem issue”.
