“Emergency responders were there within a matter of a few minutes”, Wood said near the construction site.

The Minneapolis Fire Department confirmed on their Twitter feed that the individual had been stabilized and transported to an area hospital with injuries.

Fire crews responded to the stadium, which is now under construction, around 8 a.m., requested a rescue basket, ropes and cables in order to tie firefighters off to rescue the person, the department tweeted.

There’s no word yet on the conditions of either person.

Neither worker was identified, pending notification of their families.

Construction on the new Vikings stadium just passed the halfway mark last month.
