22-0 Warriors keep streaking, tie record for best road start

TRAIL BLAZERS 109, T-WOLVES 103 (at Minneapolis) – Damian Lillard overcame a slow start to finish with 19 points and seven assists and Portland rallied from 17 points down in the third quarter to beat Minnesota. Then, they blew out the Brooklyn Nets.

Regardless, more significant factors arguably are the fundamental skill of the team itself and, over time, ability of its biggest contributors to avoid any injuries that might sideline them. “They got some energy”. “Plus, he has a great team around him”. “We constantly encourage our guys to be on the attack”.

Draymond Green, a perennial stat-sheet stuffer, had 22 points, 9 rebounds and 7 assists, while Klay Thompson added 21 points as the Warriors won their 26th consecutive regular season game.

Brooklyn Nets forward Thaddeus Young (30) defends Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (23) in the first half of an NBA basketball game, Sunday, Dec. 6, 2015, in NY.

“The 21-game winning streak is surreal because it doesn’t sound right when you say it out loud”, said Curry following the game in front of a large group of reporters. Curry was 11 for 17 from the field and hit five 3-pointers. The Warriors defeated the Raptors 115-110 in the first meeting between the teams November 17 at Oracle Arena…. Ultimately, Brooklyn showed why it still has the second-worst record in the Eastern Conference. It was down to two points when Curry chose to take over, scoring 11 of his team’s final 13 points in the quarter as the Warriors took an 87-80 lead after three.

“We might not play our best game, but we find a way to win”.

Young finished with 25 points, including a hook shot in the paint that gave the Nets their first lead at 58-57 early in the third quarter. It almost came to an end much sooner when the Nets stormed into Oakland on November 14 and pushed Golden State to overtime before dropping a 107-99 decision. Brooklyn F/C Andrea Bargnani missed his third straight game with a tight left hamstring.

Golden State suffered a scare in the second quarter when Curry left the court clutching his face following a collision with DeMarre Carroll’s shoulder after hitting a layup, forcing the Warriors to burn a 20-second timeout.

Curry then made both his free throws and Toronto turned over the ball with 3.3 seconds to play. They came close but it was not close enough as Steph Curry lead the Warriors to victory, according to SB Nation. “Just trying to see if I can get some room and figure out a way to impact the game. And things started to click”. Maybe he should play in Toronto more often, but it doesn’t seem to matter for the Warriors, who continue to win no matter which country they are in.

“I enjoy coming back here and playing”.

The comparison highlights the Warriors’ dominance in nearly all categories, beating the Bulls’ averages except only for the total points made by the opponent and the offensive rebounds gathered.
