Earlier this year there had been many rumors regarding Mafia 3’s existence.
Unfortunately, parent company 2K Games decided to close down the studio and moved the actual project to one of its US-based teams. The announcement trailer can be viewed here when it eventually goes live and hopefully it provides some information on a potential release date in the coming months.
It’s unclear if actual gameplay will be presented at that time but at least the teaser artwork, available above, shows some interesting sequences in a swamp of sorts, not to mention older cars and four characters.
Stay tuned to AOTF, where we’ll bring you news of Mafia III when it breaks, as well as all the latest announcements from Gamescom 2015. A visit to the official Mafia website greets you with the logo for Mafia III, with a worldwide reveal set for 5/8/15 at 9AM ET.
