2nd woman’s body identified in OH slaying, abduction case
Mr Grate was later charged with kidnapping and two counts of murder. When police arrived at the house in Ashland, they found the bodies of Stacey Stanley and Elizabeth Griffith.

“Please hurry. I’m afraid he might hear me and catch me and he’s strong”, the scared woman told the police.
The Mansfield News Journal reports (http://ohne.ws/2cBrE4y ) Stanley’s uncle told the crowd that his niece’s disappearance led family members searching for her toward a house in Ashland, where another woman was being held captive. It could take months to identify the body, after which charges will be filed in that case, authorities said.
The woman in the house said in the 911 call that she had been tied up but had partly freed herself in the same room where her captor was asleep.
“I’ve been abducted”, the woman said in the 911 call. Both women had been reported missing. She also added that the accused had a stun gun.
Mr Grate, who was described by investigators as homeless, has a lengthy arrest record in the Crawford and Mansfield Municipal Courts including a domestic violence charge against his former girlfriend, Cleveland 19 reported.
The kidnapping charge alleges Grate held another female victim against her will for the objective of engaging in sexual activity with her, between the dates of September 11th and 13th.
Ashland police said officers found the kidnap victim and Grate at a home that was supposed to be unoccupied. Stanley, 43, was last seen September 8.
Police found the bodies after freeing the woman and arresting Grate. “She’d give anybody anything, you know”, he said.
Grate led police to a third body in nearby Richland County, that was found near the rubble of a burned home, prosecutors said.

Authorities checked the Mansfield-area site Tuesday and found decomposed remains down a ravine in a wooded area behind the house. Grate faces 15 years to life in prison if convicted.
