3-4 hurt in Minneapolis venue ceiling collapse
Several people were hurt late Wednesday in a partial ceiling collapse at First Avenue in Minneapolis, the fire department said.

The Star Tribune reports the collapse occurred about 10 p.m. during a show by the band Theory of a Deadman.
The building has now been turned over to management, according to the Minneapolis Fire Department.
The Minneapolis Fire Department said three to four people were hurt, but only two were taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Johnson said he saw part of the ceiling had fallen and there was water leaking from the ceiling.
Staff and authorities evacuated the building, which Kranz says will be closed Thursday for inspections.
While he did not know the extent of the injuries, a “shocked” Kranz reports injured concertgoers sustained “cuts and bruises” and were conscious as they exited the venue.
Concertgoer Todd Johnson of Elk River told the newspaper the band had just finished its fourth song when the musicians suddenly ran offstage. A second piece fell about a minute later, he said.

Delay Riser, of White Bear Lake, said there was smoke everywhere and some screaming, but she didn’t think anything of it at first because she thought it was part of the show.
