The DPS said they received a call earlier that same night reporting a passenger in a black sedan pointing a gun out the window and firing at least once. A third person was taken into custody about 45 minutes later, according to the DPS, which did not specify where that arrest took place.
The first report was at approximately 2 a.m. from a person on Interstate 10 near the Broadway Curve. With help from the Phoenix Police helicopter, troopers were able to locate the sedan near I-10 and 83rd Avenue.
Police then followed it to an apartment complex.
The names of three suspects arrested after two cars were fired upon on a west Phoenix freeway have been released.
During the course of the investigation it was discovered there was a victim in a passenger auto whose vehicle had been shot.
They also seized a bullet from a victim’s vehicle as evidence.
DPS said through its investigation it learned someone reported being shot at and contacted police near 83rd Avenue and McDowell Road.

The latest round of shootings, however, is not connected to the ones that transpired between August and September. The round, which was found inside the vehicle, was removed as evidence. De Zhon Randolph is facing charges of facilitation of drive-by shooting, aggravated assault, endangerment, and possession of marijuana.
