A mass shooting at a house party in Seattle has left three people dead and one injured, with one suspect in police custody.
Travis said police are not looking for any other suspects.
A gunman attacked a gathering of young adults early Saturday at a suburban home of Seattle, a city in northwestern United States, killing three people and wounding another.
The authorities released little in the way of new details about the shooting, saying they were protecting the integrity of the investigation.
“We were texting back and forth, telling her to stay quiet, stay calm, we’re on our way”.
Police have not yet identified a motive for the shooting, but friends of the victims tell Q13 that Ivanov and one of the victims had just ended a relationship.
It was unclear whether Ivanov had obtained an attorney. He is expected to be in court on Monday.
About 15-20 teens and young adults were inside a home when a suspect walked in and began shooting, NBC station KING5 reported.
Mukilteo resident Susan Gemmer said the shooter and one of the victims had recently broken up. He then made his way onto the roof, where some of the friends were hanging out, Gemmer said.
Gemmer said that according to her granddaughter, the gunman shot two people at a fire pit before going onto a roof and firing more shots from there.
A woman says her granddaughter hid in a closet to escape the gunman. The young man made it across the street.
Mayor Jennifer Gregerson says a vigil is planned for 7 p.m. Sunday.
