One person died and four people were injured Wednesday night in two separate shootings in Boston, according to The Boston Globe .

The three men were at a family gathering when the shots broke out.

Shortly after 10 p.m., two people were shot in Roxbury and then three were shot in Mattapan, The Globe reports. One, a man in his 20s, was pronounced deceased at the scene. Two other men were treated for non-life threatening injuries. The vehicle was driven down Main Street toward Kendall Square, where it stopped.

Police in Everett confirm a female was shot dead in the parking lot of the Braza Grill and Restaurant at 158 School St. The call came in to police around 1 Thursday morning. the Middlesex DA’s Officer along with Mass. State Police are investigating.

At least five people were killed in four apparently unrelated shooting incidents around Boston, police said on Thursday (Aug 13), provoking outrage from the city’s mayor who said the violence “has to stop”.

Walsh continued, “I express my deepest condolences to the families and friends of those who were lost during these senseless acts of violence”.

As of Thursday, there was no word on any arrests in any of the shootings.

Police in Cambridge, meanwhile, say the driver of a vehicle seen leaving the area of a fatal shooting near the Massachusetts Institute of Technology at 8:41 p.m.is “cooperating”, and they are still actively searching for suspects.
