3 female journalists stopped from entering Jags locker room

QB Matt Hasselbeck, 40, is expected to start against the Jaguars with Andrew Luck dealing with a sore shoulder.

They must — with or without Luck, who was inactive for the first time in his pro career due to a shoulder injury.

The Colts defeated the Jaguars 16-13. Wonder if Andrew Luck ever did that?

– Graham Watson (@Yahoo_Graham) October 4, 2015I have covered male sporting events all over the world and it took coming to Indianapolis to face my first gender discrimination.

Hasselbeck made his first start in almost three years and managed the game deftly. He was 30-of-47 for 282 yards and a touchdown. The Colts have long thought their backup quarterback could get the job done if called upon, but now they know. I needed to chill out. “It’s really cool running out of the tunnel”. On the season, he is averaging 47.9 yards.

When Hasselbeck started his career, there was no such thing as text messaging or the Colts winning division titles. He also moved past John Carney for fourth-most field goals made in National Football League history.

-MLB D’Qwell Jackson had 17 tackles, including one for loss. But most of all, it has shone an especially harsh light on the Colts’ early struggles. He had eight carries for 10 yards and caught three passes for 25 yards. Seven of his runs went for zero or negative yards. I didn’t play it one way or another. “We turned the ball over. I just have to stop pressing and play football and have fun”. And, as of today, that kicker is now their all-time leading scorer. “We shot ourselves in the foot”. “I don’t know why, I never get emotional over anything, really”. That’s just how the ball bounces sometimes. “We’ve just got to go out and make a play”. Jaguars rookie Jason Myers was way wide right on a 53-yarder that would have won the game at the end of regulation.

Frank Gore: Don’t get me wrong, Frank Gore had a key 22-yard run in overtime to place the Colts at Jacksonville’s 7-yard line to set up Vinatieri for the game-winning field goal. And when Myers missed the 48-yarder, Luck pumped his fist.

On Sunday, he wasn’t even sure he was starting until he came back in the locker room from a pregame jog. “So I’m waiting to hear from them”.

LUCK’S STATUS: Pagano said it’s still unclear whether Luck will play at Houston.

Close didn’t cut it against the Colts’ over-the-hill gang Sunday.

The former Daphne High School star entered the game with 154 yards on 48 rushing attempts in his first three National Football League games. “So we’re going to continue, he’s getting treatment right now”.

But kickers pulled, doinked and hooked like we’ve rarely seen this week.

And the old guys delivered the win. Clayton Geathers leapt in the air to keep Pat McAfee’s punt from going into the end zone.

The Panthers are guaranteed to remain undefeated through Week 5; they have a week off. Or something like that.

Unlike the Jacksonville Jaguars locker room, the program footing the bill for the diversity fellows (crusaders?) is not open to sports writers of both sexes, at least if you share Richie Cunningham’s complexion and Fonzie’s sexual orientation it’s not.

Dolphins quarterback Ryan Tannehill ended up with 198 yards and two touchdowns on 19-of-44 passing.
