3 gangs plan retaliation against Chicago police over Paul O’Neal shooting
Three gangs on Chicago’s West Side allegedly met to discuss a response to the police shooting of an unarmed black teenager, the Chicago SunTimes reported.

County prosecutors say the shooting is justified, as Porter threatened the lives of law enforcement.
An indictment of the police officer who shot Porter.
Chicago police are reportedly being asked by department officials to “limit interactions and visibility”.
The alert warned police that the gangs had considered using automatic weapons and a sniper against officers.
CPD spokesman Anthony Guglielmi didn’t comment on the specifics of how the department is responding to the gang threat. He added that these types of alerts are somewhat common.
Shortly after O’Neal is killed by the police, two officers are seen doing what can only be described as a high five.
O’Neal’s shooting marks an early test of Mayor Rahm Emanuel’s pledge to reform policing and oversight, and transparency has been central to his announcements about his plans.
After crashing the vehicle and fleeing on foot, officers chased O’Neal, where they eventually caught, beat and shot him.
There are discrepancies in the case that being investigated, though, like why the body cam was turned off during the actual shooting, then turned back on afterward. The cameras nonetheless captured potentially damning comments by at least one of the officers after the shooting. Jason Van Dyke, the officer who shot McDonald, didn’t face charges until a day before the city released the videos. The footage then suddenly shows a group of officers standing over O’Neal as he’s down on the ground and bleeding profusely. “When he came out the yard, he shot at me”, the officer said.

Later, that officer suggested O’Neal was armed, the video shows, though police found he was not. I don’t f– know, man.
