The cover plates hit stores to coincide with Series 1 of the Animal Crossing amiibo Card Packs and Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer.

Nintendo has finally announced a release date for their Amiibo NFC Reader/Writer that will allow Nintendo 2DS & 3DS fans to join in on the Amiibo fun. A physical copy of the game will be available with or without the 3DS NFC Reader/Writer accessory.
Earlier this month, Nintendo revealed a few of the first batch of Animal Crossing’s “amiibo trading cards”. The puck-shaped device will communicate wirelessly with your Nintendo 3DS system and read the amiibo cards or figures, dependent on which game you’re playing.
Nintendo’s NFC Reader/Writer accessory will be released in Europe on October 2.
Animal Crossing: Happy Home Designer focuses on the decorating and home-designing aspects of the Animal Crossing games. The UK will receive plates featuring K. K. Slider, Isabelle, and a design featuring a variety of Animal Crossing characters. For a limited time after launch copies of the game will come with one special amiibo card.
