The baby died after plummeting from a sixth-floor apartment in the Fordham Heights neighbourhood yesterday.

The three other children were taken to hospital, although they were not injured.
The other children – all aged 10 years and under – were also taken to hospital although it is not believed they were suffering from any injuries. One of her relatives refused to comment, and it was unclear whether she had an attorney who could speak for her. No charges had been filed.
This is the third such incident to happen in New York City in just three months.
Three other children were found in the apartment following the event.
The suspect’s sister told reporters Fearon cared for all of her kids. Her mother, who claims to have hidden her the pregnancy, was arrested for murder and manslaughter. “That’s when I started calling for more help because I thought she might throw more [kids] out”.
A month earlier, a month-old boy was hurled out a fourth floor window of a Queens apartment building and his mother was arrested. They were all naked and lying on their backs as well.
At one point, prior to throwing her baby out of the window, neighbor, Lizette Rodriguez, told the nypost, ‘I heard [the baby’s mother] screaming and she was saying, ‘Praise God!’ ‘Hallelujah!’ Then she was screaming ‘I’m going to throw her!
After the baby, identified at Janillah Lawrence, fell from the window, she was rushed by responding officers to a nearby hospital.

‘Something must have snapped, ‘ Watson said. She was screaming out, making noise, very loud. “She was OK – I’m trying to tell you”. She must have had a breakdown or something…you never know what is going on in someone’s head. The woman claimed an evil spirit had possessed her son so she killed him and was successful in “stopping the pain”.
