Spirit Airlines Flight 969 from Baltimore-Washington worldwide Airport to Chicago O’Hare global Airport was halted just before takeoff, Spirit said in a statement.

The spokesman said no charges will be filed and the incident has been “resolved”.

The flight attendant notified the captain and the plane returned to the gate.

She said the four people who were first taken off had several backpacks, were in their early 30’s and appeared to be of “Middle Eastern descent”.

Following a security check by the TSA, the flight was cleared for takeoff around 8:45 a.m.

“We are interviewing the four individuals to see if any violations occurred”, Green told The Washington Times. “I think that’s what made them suspicious and they had no luggage”, Mark Collier, a passenger, told Fox News Boston.

Four passengers were taken by authorities off the flight.

“They quietly stood up, removed their bags and followed the two officers off the plane”, Rocca said.

4 ppl initially removed by MTA Police.

The flight, American Airlines 2124, has reboarded and is scheduled to land in Boston tonight.

Of course, if all prove to be innocent, the possibility arises that they were removed from the plane because they appeared to Muslim.
