A lesson in compassion isn’t something you expect from high school students.

“Ben Ellis is a Nashville area high school teacher battling cancer”. In an incredible outpouring of support, the entire student body from his school, over 400 students, came to his house and sang to him.

Today, Ben needed some encouragement so our HS students stood in his driveway and sang worship songs of praise with him.

“I love you”, Ellis wrote in a note to his students. Our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family… “So precious and kind”, the singer wrote.

More than 400 students gathered outside their teacher’s window to sing songs to him as he battles cancer.

Ellis is said to “love a good hymn” and the entire school beautifully sang many to him from his front lawn.

“Our children attend CPA and my high schoolers LOVES Mr. Ellis”, Shannon Lee Seibert wrote.

‘He is the definition of a teacher, a role model, a servant, ‘ she wrote.

Hundreds of students serenaded their beloved teacher Mr. Ellis outside his home last week to show support during his fight with an aggressive cancer. “And Ben is full of hope, joy, and peace”.

A woman who identified herself as a parent of one of the students at the school, shared a letter from the principal that was sent to parents about that day.

Ben’s father Bob, also commented on the post.

‘Thank you, Tim. Ben is my son.
