NBC Bay Area requested an interview with Sheriff Smith to talk about the noticeable change in the two years since Aldon Smith’s last DUI arrest. “But as far as everything is concerned it will work out how it’s supposed to work out”. Police say Smith appeared to be intoxicated.

Smith was arrested Thursday night, according to the Santa Clara Police Department. Also in that very year, he pleaded not guilty for three felony counts for illegal possession of a weapon, derived from a party at his home on June 2012.
Smith was previously arrested on April 13, 2014, at Los Angeles global Airport.
“He won’t have to walk this path alone”, Tomsula said.
Smith’s failure to admit his role in the recent arrest on Thursday for hit and run, DUI and vandalism are the reasons the general manager and the 49er organization made the decision to release him. “And if he’s willing to learn, I’ll be there to help him do it. That’s what we all have to do”. Second chances are great, and the 49ers have given Smith multiple opportunities to improve his behavior. Now the 49ers will most likely look to Ahmad Brooks to replace his production however it will be hard to replace a guy who can get 44 sacks in 50 games. Smith told a TSA agent that he had a bomb, but no charges were filed for this incident.
“Aldon’s one of the best football players I’ve ever been around, and I’ve been around some Hall of Famers, you know, in Baltimore”, Torrey Smith said Saturday.
After this latest incident, it is unclear what his punishment with the NFL will be, but he will not serve it as a member of the 49ers.
Smith was paid his last roster bonus of $300,000 on August 1. Smith was arrested in San Jose, Calif., in September 2013 on suspicion of driving under the influence and possessing marijuana.

This is Smith’s third DUI arrest since he entered the National Football League in 2011. In 2014, he had just 15 tackles and two sacks in seven games. But Haley said he had been unable to return the call because of his duties surrounding his Hall of Fame induction Saturday. “In terms of him playing football again, I sure hope so”.
