49ers’ Shaun Draughn: Avoids serious injury
If Draughn can’t play, the 49ers will likely make another roster move, after dropping Travaris Cadet in favor of Harris on Tuesday.

Shaun Draughn, a free agent running back the 49ers signed after Hayne was cut and sent to the practice squad, suffered a knee injury in the team’s 24-14 home loss to an undermanned Cincinnati Bengals on Sunday.
Attempts by some sources to cast Jarryd Hayne as the culprit for the debacle that is the San Francisco 49ers 2015 season lacked any real evidence to support the claim.
JARRYD Hayne’s hopes of breaking back into the San Francisco 49ers’ squad to play the Detroit Lions this weekend will rely on the health of two of his running back teammates. Their game is not unlike that of the National Football League, with the clear exception that armoured competitors with complete disregard for their own well-being as well as that of opposition players cause even the most skilled ball handlers to experience second thoughts when attempting to catch an oddly shaped ball unpredictably drifting and tumbling through the air. Kendall Gaskins is the only other running back on the active roster. He was released on December 17 and signed with the Ravens’ practice squad. Davis sustained a fractured left hand in the game at St. Louis and was placed on injured reserve/designated for return.
Draughn, an in-season addition following injuries to backs Carlos Hyde, Reggie Bush and Mike Davis, was the game’s leading rusher with nine carries for 38 yards at the time of the injury.
“We’re not going to put him in any danger”, Tomsula, speaking to reporters about Davis, said on Monday.

But the struggling 49ers could be forced dust off the “Hayne Plane” for the penultimate game of their disastrous campaign against Detroit.
