5 important things you probably missed on this week’s ‘Game of Thrones’
Season 6 has been the Game of Thrones season for Sansa Stark, and that’s been proven time and again when she’s taken every bad thing that’s happened to her, spun it around as a knowledge base and come out on top. From lying to essentially force Ned to kill Lady (Sansa’s direwolf) to ordering Ned’s execution, to taking Sansa on a scenic walk to admire her fathers decapitated head, Joffrey did a good job of making himself universally disliked. The episode 9, was named “Battle of the Bastards” sounds really weird, especially the fact that it was aired on Father’s day. Her walkaway at the end of the scene, that’s one of my favorite shots we’ve ever had.

Clearly, Sansa will never be able to get Ramsay’s abuse out of her system. The character had imprinted on her already, but it doesn’t mean that oh-so-sweet revenge doesn’t help her heal. This is the first time in the show, when fans could watch her other two dragons, Rhaegal and Viserion, break free from their prison and attack the army after their mother issues a “dracarys” command to them. With Joffrey it was different. Also in Winterfell, Ser Davos doesn’t appear to be too pleased with Melisandre once again because of her past actions in front of Jon Snow, suggesting there’s trouble brewing amongst Stannis’ Baratheon’s former advisors.
Sansa has been right all along.

Episode 9 acted as a climax by featuring some of the most epic scenes featuring Daenerys Stormborn, Jon Snow, Ramsay Bolton and Sansa Stark. When Bran chose to go beyond the Wall with Jojen and Meera Reed in season 3, Rickon even got to give a little speech about how he wanted to go with them because he wanted to protect his brother Bran. We couldn’t agree more with Turner. While Jon Snow may be comparable to Hannibal in this situation, it was Hannibal’s army who used the double-envelopment strategy, which we saw in episode nine Sunday evening, to gain the upperhand over the Roman army and their allies. “You read accounts of the battles in the Civil War where the bodies were piled so thick it actually became an obstruction on the battlefield”.
