5 injured when possible tornado damages Alabama Wal-Mart
A strong storm cell that passed through Pike County on Thursday produced a possible tornado that caused significant damage to the Walmart shopping center in Troy. “It sounded, like everyone says, a train, but then there was a huge explosion when all the big windows exploded in the front of the store”.

“We heard a loud noise”, she said. “We saw dust blowing through the door”. “I just got low…”
Now in the Walmart parking lot, an 18 Wheeler was overturned and the driver was in it. “There can also be water damage in the world from damage to a water important”.
Reeves said further that two of those injured were inside the Walmart when the tornado touched down about 50 miles southeast of Montgomery. A total of three people were taken to a local hospital, Reeves added.
Kevin Laws, chief scientist at the National Weather Service in Birmingham, said a survey team traveled to Troy on Friday morning and hopes to determine whether a tornado occurred, and the storm’s size and strength by the end of Friday.
At least five people were reportedly injured, though initial reports indicate that none of the injuries were serious.

“Our fire, police, utilities, EMA, EMS, and Troy utilities…it’s everyone coming together at a time like this that you really appreciate working hard to keep everyone safe”, the mayor concluded.
