A second trailer has made it online for the new Captain America: Civil War, and it features a new character that we haven’t seen in the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

Captain America: Civil War premieres on May 6, so expect more clips of the film before then. The deal between Sony and Marvel allowed it to happen, and Tom Holland was cast in the role, with Civil War marking his first appearance before he gets a standalone movie. “I think he now is starting to follow his own heart, and do his own thing, and as a result there becomes this kind of flip-flop in perspective”, said Evans.

“I mean, I barely know where to start”, he says.

Spider-Man jumps into action, announcing his presence by snatching Captain America’s shield while the two teams fight at the airport.

Fans took to Twitter to share their views, with one saying: “damn spiderman looks f***ing ace in the new trailer tho (sic)”.

T’Challa, aka the Black Panther, is injured in an attack on the United Nations (reportedly by Bucky), which explains his involvement in #TeamIronMan and the awesome chase of Bucky on his motorbike. According to TechnoBuffalo, War Machine gets blasted out of the sky and it’s unlikely for him to survive. Note that Tony Stark’s Iron Man mask doesn’t widen its eyes when he’s surprised, and it doesn’t appear that Black Panther’s cat ears perk up when he gets shot at. Yet, others were overjoyed to see everyone’s favorite neighborhood Spider-Man enter the fray. “The whole world was wrong about you”, which he probably addressed to the Star-Spangled superhero. On the opposite side are Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner), Falcon (Anthony Mackie), Ant-Man (Paul Rudd), Scarlet Witch (Elizabeth Olsen), and The Winter Soldier (Sebastian Stan).

Most fans though – at least those not neck-deep into the internet arguments – are likely far more excited to see superheroes try to kill each other.

The movie is based on the iconic and much-loved Civil War comic book story arc and sees Anthony and Joe Russo back in the director’s chair; this is their first Marvel films since the success of The Winter Solider back in 2014.
