“If I want to bring a lawsuit it would be legitimate”.
The mogul has also alleged that Cruz can not be president because he was born in Canada.
Ted Cruz went all-in on Wednesday in his dash to take down Donald Trump, calling on the frontrunner to follow through on a lawsuit threat against him and testify “under oath under penalty of perjury answering” questions over his stance on abortion rights.
Cruz also looked to implicate Trump for being “a direct cause of Obamacare”. “They didn’t say they were supporting Donald Trump”.
As the three candidates appeared Wednesday night on CNN, Trump took part in his own town hall forum with SC voters broadcast at the same time on MSNBC from Charleston, S.C.
Amid the squabbling, South Carolina Governor Nikki Haley endorsed Rubio as the Republicans’ best hope for winning the White House, a boost to Rubio and a blow to Bush, who had lobbied hard for her to pick him.
Polls show Donald Trump the clear favorite in the Palmetto State, but Rubio and Bush are locked in a close race to be the party’s establishment standard-bearer. “It is a remarkable contention that an ad that plays video of Donald Trump speaking on national television is somehow defamation”.
Bush: “I have a proven record!” Rubio supported a comprehensive immigration bill with a path to citizenship but he denies Cruz’s barbed characterization of it as “amnesty”.
Cruz’s campaign later told journalists they planned to air the ad more frequently. Rubio said he would only visit a truly free Cuba.
Trump threatened Cruz with a lawsuit over that and other ads, stating in a Facebook post that Cruz’s claims “are totally untrue and completely outrageous”.
“I got the endorsement of a governor of Indian descent, who endorsed a presidential candidate of Cuban descent, and tomorrow we’ll be campaigning alongside an African-American Republican senator”, he said.
On Tuesday, a lawyer for Trump sent the Cruz campaign a cease-and-desist letter saying that Cruz’s campaign ad “Supreme Trust” is “completely disingenuous” and “replete with outright lies, false, defamatory and destructive statements and downright fabrications”.
“I said he’s been lying because if you say something that isn’t true and you say it over and over again and you know that it’s not true, there’s no other word for it”, Rubio said at a CNN town hall meeting.
Carson said he understood why Apple is reluctant to help investigators crack the cell phone of one of the gunmen in the San Bernardino mass shooting.
Bush on Wednesday said her decision left him “disappointed”.

The Republican results marked a nominal gain for Trump since his win in the February 9 New Hampshire primary, when he led Cruz by 18.4 points in the national rolling survey, although the increase remained within the poll’s credibility interval. Cruz said the president’s opening to Cuba is indicative of a failed foreign policy. Trump has repeatedly questioned Cruz’s eligibility to run for the presidency and has repeatedly accused the Texas senator’s campaign of engaging in dirty politics.
