Mutliple people were taken to the hospital after suffering a shock on a ride at Ocean Beach Park, state police said.

“Emergency services transported several children to the local hospital, received some type of electrical shock”.
The children were on the Scrambler ride at Ocean Beach Park when the electrical shock happened around 2 p.m. When they arrived, police said, they found six victims who had suffered an electric shock.
One child reportedly touched a nearby fence and suffered minor burns and red marks, Fox 61 reported. Investigators were going ride to ride looking for potential problems. Officials have yet to determine what caused the electrical surge, police said. The Connecticut State Police and New London police and fire departments were called to investigate the situation.
The area around the rides at the park was shut down Tuesday evening.
“Two years ago we go on those things.as you can see they are old”, Kamboli said. Kambolli says they live near the park.

Park management says polices are scheduled to return Wednesday morning to continue their investigation.
