Samsung has unveiled two new smartphones to ramp up its efforts to win over consumers seeking large-screen handsets. The idea is for users to pay for items by waving their smartphone near a store’s checkout register instead of swiping a credit card.

One of the most expected tech events of this month is finally consumed and we now have all the details about South Korean manufacturer’s Samsung latest smartphones: Galaxy Note 5 and S6 edge+. But only one is coming to the UK.
The Galaxy S6 Edge Plus and Galaxy Note 5 will offer 4G LTE Cat. The Galaxy Note 5 and Galaxy S6 Edge+ will both be available in Black Sapphire, White Pearl, Gold Platinum, and Titanium SIlver colours.
Samsung has come a long way since it launched the first Galaxy Note and was laughed at for introducing a pen with a giant screen.
Galaxy Note 5 features similar design aesthetics as Galaxy S6, in every way; from the glass front and metal frame to the beautifully colored schemes. The primary feature of S6 Edge+ is the S Pen which Samsung has reserved only for its Note line, reports NextBigWhat. The Apple’s new devices are set to hit the market in early September.
Both the Galaxy S6 edge+ and the Galaxy Note 5 handsets are equipped with an octa-core Exynos 7420 processor; and boast 4GB of LPDDR4 RAM, fingerprint scanners, 16-megapixel OIS f1. Otherwise the screen-size, battery, cameras and more are pretty much identical which might make choosing hard.
Samsung is trying to regain lost ground against Apple by revealing two new phones it thinks can take on the industry leader.
The Note 5 has a unified body, which means it has sacrificed on a removable battery and MicroSD support. It can also be used at checkout counters that use traditional magnetic-strip card readers.

He added he said not releasing both devices in Europe was a “mistake”.
