69th Indian Independence Day
August 15th is the most memorable day of Indian history. Philosophers have interpreted freedom in many ways, but we need to widen it, deepen it and cherish it. A conscious citizenship is only the guarantee.

It is a national celebration that is enjoyed in every corner of the country. The day is the result of fighting against British rule in India. The day will be declared as holiday. But as we celebrate our country’s birthday this week, kite string in one hand and ghevar in another, with the strains of Vande Mataram playing in the background, one can not overlook the throbbing thought – Are we really independent? Numerous freedom fighters has strived for Independence and achieved success at last on 15th August 1947. So, on this day we pay tribute to all those great people. The day brings the spirit in all Indians. So, firstly a very Happy Independence Day to all the readers of Galaxy Reporter. Mainly Indians celebrate the day by mentioning greetings to each other, by flag hoisting, by conducting meetings and various ways.

Today we are miles apart but I wanna reach across the miles and say i am thinking of you in a very special way HAPPY INDEPENDENCE DAY. Prime Minister will give his valuable speech on the occasion of Independence day.
Now, at 68, India is better placed than ever to deliver its promises to the people of the sub-continent and aim to establish itself amongst the leading nations of the world as a beacon of democracy, freewill and righteousness.
