Hillary Clinton hauled in $143 million in August for her presidential bid and the Democratic party, her best month yet in a fundraising push that lays the groundwork for her fall campaign.
What: Speakers, campaign and candidate information, food and more.
Consequently the presidential race looks as if it is going to be close, and this week, a poll has put Trump ahead of Clinton by three points.
Clinton was viewed unfavorably by 56 percent of US adults, up 6 percentage points from the beginning of August, in the survey released Wednesday.
CNN estimated Clinton headlined 37 fundraisers in August, taking her to 12 states, according to estimates based on average ticket prices and attendance figures provided by the Clinton campaign.
Hillary Clinton hit her stride after the Democratic National Convention, riding to a double-digit lead over Donald Trump in some national and swing-state polls – her highest of the year.
Trump improved his negative ratings, as the number of voters who view him unfavorably decreased from 62 percent in July to 58 percent this week. Looking at all registered voters, Clinton leads Trump 41 percent to 38 percent in the Keystone State.
The 2016 USA presidential elections will be held on November 8.
Clinton leads in four regions of the state, F&M said, including southwest Pennsylvania (39/36 percent), Philadelphia (83/12 percent), Allegheny County (56/30 percent), and the southeast (45/31 percent).
However, in the right-leaning Rasmussen polls, Clinton for the first time is seen trailing Trump, albeit by just one percentage point.
National polls have tightened since the Democratic National Convention in July, but Clinton maintains leads in nearly all battleground states. The poll of 404 likely voters was conducted August 27-30 with a margin of error of 4.9 percentage points.
