TMZ maintained footage of Okafor getting into a brawl with a heckler outside a nightclub. After the victim filed a report with Boston Police Department, authorities urged the other possible victims to come forward.

While Adrian Wojnarowski’s tweet may not detail the exact reason for the Philadelphia 76ers suspending rookie Jahlil Okafor for two games, it doesn’t take a genius to work out why.

The Sixers, who were without suspended center Jahlil Okafor, were hoping to start streaking in the opposite direction. “We tried to get ourselves going”, said Robert Covington, who went three for eight from the field and tallied eight points in what was the Sixers’ seventh road game in their last eight contests. “As far as the play-by-play of what happened, he did not go into that”. When I spent time with Jahlil in his room, he’s ashamed, he’s embarrassed. “And this has caught him off guard”. Okafor additionally was cited by police for driving more than 100 miles per hour on a Philadelphia bridge, which had a speed limit of 40 miles per hour.

“He told us sketchy that he was in a situation that he regretted”, Brown said. He does own it. And nobody is proud of this right now. “We have to help him, and help him we will”.

“He’s very, very, very serious about his job, ” Fisher said. According to TMZ, Okafor could face a lawsuit in the near future. But it wasn’t hard to outscore an already-struggling Sixers team, never mind without their leading scorer in Okafor.

So today the 76ers let it be known that they’d like him to switch hobbies – perhaps scrapbooking?

Brown said he wasn’t angry with Okafor, but also said the center from Duke didn’t give him the whole story during a conversation in Houston after the first video. “We show him tough love that we understand he’s ours”. Make him learn from it, but don’t characterize him based on that.

“Maybe. I think everybody now steps back and looks at what we have to do better”, Brown said. Sure. This is my third year with the club.

Brown was asked if he felt betrayed by Okafor because of the repetitive nature of recent incidents involving him.
