911 called on cop, then a violent arrest
Video reportedly shows Earledreka White getting harassed by police officer in March 2016.

Well, a Texas traffic stop managed to land a social worker in jail for a couple of days for resisting arrest.
White, 28, was pulled over by a Houston officer for crossing the white double lines.
“I would like another officer to come out here”, White told the 911 dispatcher. She said she was “afraid” and that her heart was racing.
White said she was physically confronted by the cop during the traffic stop.
In the middle of White’s call, Luca can be seen grabbing and twisting her left wrist in an attempt to put her in handcuffs before pushing her onto her auto.
While her conversation with dispatchers is easy to hear, it’s hard to make out what the officer is saying.
“This man is twisting my arm!” ‘Please get your hands off of me. What is wrong with you?. “I haven’t done anything”.
Bumpers clarified that if citizens believe an officer is threatening them, they are always encouraged to ask the officer to contact his or her supervisor to send backup.
“Being pulled over is not the troubling part”, White told The Houston Chronicle on Wednesday. “As I tell the dispatcher that this man is threatening to “Tase” me, he backs away, then comes back and literally tries to break my arm”.
“She was uncooperative, but he did everything reasonable within the law”, Metro Police Chief Vera Bumpers said, according to The Chronicle.
The Metropolitan Transit Authority of Harris County investigated the incident in April and determined the officer had done nothing wrong – but surveillance video released by White’s attorneys appear to back her account. White was resisting arrest, video footage shows that the arresting officer may have been the main reason for the confrontation.
Bumpers said White was on the phone for three minutes while speaking to a 911 dispatcher while Luca waited. “If she was in violation of something, they could have easily issued a citation”. However, whether you are legally in the right or not, stepping out of your vehicle during a police stop is generally seen as a bad idea, and the American Civil Liberties Union (ACLU) says that it’s best to stay seated in your auto with your hands visible.
“He got impatient”, Douglas said.
Her attorney, Zack Fertitta, thinks the entire incident, captured by nearby surveillance cameras, was avoidable and only the result of the officer’s decision to escalate the situation, even though he was in no obvious danger.

Although police exonerated the Officer, the head of the local NAACP says he doesn’t think the officer handled the incident correctly, says Raw Story. “This is obviously a police officer who needs some training on how to de-escalate a situation. We saw that in Sandra Bland’s case”.
