The Star have gone for an angle that is reasonably interesting as they follow up on one of the more surprising moves of deadline day.

But it appears there could be another reason for this as United look to sign the £60 million-rated Reus.

Similar claims have been made by the Mirror over the weekend; however, the Star’s “exclusive” specifically explains that Dortmund may be willing to discuss a part-exchange deal and that Real Madrid are monitoring his situation.

The Belgian winger arrived in the Bundesliga on a season long loan last week to bolster the Dortmund front-line, in what left a lot of Manchester United fans scratching their heads as a result of the lack of attacking options at Louis van Gaal’s disposal.

Januzaj will greatly benefit from continued exposure to first-team football in Germany with a team that is on the up after a poor 2014/15 season.

The Premier League side are hoping that the goalkeeper will sign a contract extension, but would rather lose him for nothing in the summer than let him leave early if he refuses a new deal.
