Yes, this is not a joke and the concept before this amazing idea is – to calculate the laugh numbers of each viewers and then they are charged according to it – in short this is called Pay-Per-Laugh.
At first, the idea has been started by the Barcelona’s Teatreneu club and then followed by several other clubs.
The amount of laugh is calculated by the tablet installed under each audience’s seat.
Each laugh is charged at 0.30 euros with a cap of 24 euros.
In a talk with the club owner, who said that the idea is currently showing its positive side and they are very happy with the success.
